09 September 2013 Sir,
I am a service proiver registered with Ludhiana service tax department (Punjab). Can I raise a service tax invoice to other city like Amritsar (Punjab) or I have to registered with Amritsar Service Tax Department. My registered office in Ludhiana (Punjab).

09 September 2013 According to me applying Service tax on the invoice raised for the services provided in the city / state other than the city / state of service tax registration. Therefore you can raise a service tax invoice for services provided in Amritsar even though you are registered as Service Provider in Ludhiana

09 September 2013 According to me applying Service tax on the invoice raised for the services provided in the city / state other than the city / state of service tax registration should not be an issue because Service Tax registration is for the business. Further more Service Tax is Central Tax. Therefore you can raise a service tax invoice for services provided in Amritsar even though you are registered as Service Provider in Ludhiana
