21 November 2010 Hello..My first eligible attempt for CA final exams is due in May'2011..Due to my B.com exams in the same month,it may clash with CA exams...I want to know if I appear in November'2011 attempt only and clear,then will it be called my first attempt(according to no.of attempts) or second attempt.

Please guide me and give best possible answer.I have asked to many ICAI members but got different answers from everybody.

I hope i will not be disappointed here.

21 November 2010 During last year of your article, you are eligible for Final exam. Why are you so specific about the no of attempts?
You can get through the final in 1st attempt of your examination whether its May 11 or Nov 11.
The attempts would be counted from the eligibility to write the exams, whether you write or skip it, would be counted.
I hope you are clear in this regard.

21 November 2010 Sir sorry to interrupt,I want to clear in first attempt..But i don't know the criteria of counting attempts.As per discussion with one of ICAI faculty he said"when you sit for your exams for the first time",will be considered as your first attempt,which is contradicting your opinion.

kindly explain me again Sir.

21 November 2010 Suppose you are eligible to write the exam in Nov 2010 (last year of articles)& unfortunately you could not write the exam till nov 2013, does it mean your first attempt is Nov 2013?

21 November 2010 Ok,lastly i want to know,CA first attempt with only passing marks or though Second attempt but with Rank??? which one is better for the interviewer?????
