04 August 2014 I have joined for articleship in 2012 november 03. I complete my 2.5 ears articleship on 2.5.2015. am I eligible to write may 2015 exams??? please reply

04 August 2014 the ans is yes since u complete in the month of exam u will be allowed so but once confirm with icai................

05 August 2014 no. you wont be eligible for May 2015. The requirement is that you should have completed 2.5 years on or the first day of the month in which exam starts. So you should have completed 2.5 years on or before 1 May 2015.

05 August 2014 Thank you Sir.. but Do we have any alternative option Sir? Becus exams will be normally fall on 2nd may or 3rd may. By that time would have completed my 2.5 years

05 August 2014 unfortunately no. The rule applies on the first day of the month itself.

In May 2014 attempt many people lost out despite exams starting in the last week of May because of the same rule
