Filling of belated return

I have recieved a notice from IT dept to file a return for AY 13-14 which I have not filled because my income is 30000/- under the limits.IT dept had collected information regarding the transactions mentione below with my PAN card number.

1.Contract of 1000000 or more in commodity exchange.

2.Purchase of equity shares in recognised stock exchange.

3.Sale of equity shares.

4.TDS return filled.

Please provide if now I have to file return for Ay 13-14 can i get any tds refund or not.Is it mandatory for filling return

21 November 2015 Just login to incometaxindia efiling website. Go to my pending action and then outstanding tax demand. Revert to this compliance cell that you did not file return as your total income was below the exemption limit. But you will not get the refund of TDS Deducted.

Further in case you wanna take refund of the TDS, you have to file your IT Return for that.

Since you can not file even a belated return for AY13-14 u/s 139(4) as the time limit has got expired. Therefore, it is advised to file return of AY13-14 in response to notice received from department, showing income below taxable limit and claim refund of TDS
