Fill form 10IE again to file under new tax regime?

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
If you previously opted for the new tax regime by filing Form 10IE and wish to continue with it this year, you generally do not need to refile the form. The new tax regime is now the default option for taxpayers. Therefore, unless your circumstances have changed, you can proceed without submitting Form 10IE again.

19 June 2024 Hello, I have always had business income (ITR 3). Last year, I'd filled Form 10IE to file under the new tax regime. If I want to continue under the new tax regime this year as well, I don't need to fill any form this time, right?

This year, the new tax regime is in any case the default one, so this would also mean I don't need to fill any form, right?

Thank you.

19 June 2024 Yes, you are correct, as New Tax regime is default regime from this year onwards.

30 August 2024 Good luck.
