Is it compulsory to file service tax return once you have obtained the Service tax registration no.?
What will be the answer if the taxable service provided during the year 07-08 and 08-09 haven't crossed the threshold limit of Rs 8 lacs and Rs 10 lacs respectively

Once you register with the service tax authorities irrespective of the threshold limit you have to file the returns.

Yes you have to file the return once you have got the service tax registration number. So i agree with expert
