Filing of income tax a.y. 2017-18 after 31-3-2018 process

09 April 2018 Dear Sir,\Mam,

I have business and profession income below 5 lacks, due to certain circumstance i couldn't file my return for the A.Y. 2017-18 ( F.Y. 2016-17), and now i want file return for the A.Y. 2017-18.

Request you to please suggest how can i file this return?? as the last date of filing of this return is 31-3-2018.

Please suggest how can i file this return for the A..Y. 2017-18 with late penalty fees.??

Also suggest the way of penalty payment process.

09 April 2018 You can't file until you receive notification u/s 142(1) from IT Deptt or you apply for condonation delay request.

So for notification u/s 142(1), what should i do?? or can i ask/filled online request for the same?

And how can file condonation delay request for the same???

Please suggest how to pay late penalty charges for the same??

09 April 2018 Firstly, the permission of the Commissioner of Income Tax has to be obtained as to whether the time barred return can be filed to AO or not. Thereafter, if the CIT grants permission for filing time barred return then only the said return can be filed to the AO/on line.

Prepare an Application (no prescribed Form) , explaining reasons for the delay, and praying for its condonation.
