Extention of articleship period 4 month

21 August 2011 DEAR EXPERT,
I HAVE COMPLETED MY CA PCC ARTICLESHIP ON 23-06-2011 AS ON THE PAPER FORM 103( 3 YEARS AND 3 MONTH).
I TERMINATED MY ARTICLESHIP WITH MY CURRENT FIRM BY SUBMITTING FOR 108 TO ICAI.
BUT MY BOSS GAVE ME 4 MONTH OF EXTENTION PERIOD...
MY QUARY IF I DONT DO THIS 4 MONTH ARTICLESH SHIP FOR NEXT 1 YEAR AS DUE TO MY FINANCIAL CONDITION THEN WILL THIS 4 MONTH ARTICLESHIP WILL INCREASE OR ANY PENALTY ??? OR ANY OTHER RULE GIVEN BY ICAI ????
PLS HELP ME IN URGENT :

The rule is that if you get an extension period from your previous employer then that extension period will be added to your subsequent articleship period.

At the cutoff date for appearing in the exam, if you have not completed the required articleship period, then you can't appear at the exam.

Suggest to complete the subsequent articleship & extension period in time.
