Export of processed food manufactured job & self

Please this is really urgent..so reply asap

My uncle has got an order for export of 'processed food' manufactured by someone else .. it can be Job basis or purchase and export

He's new to this business so he don't have any Export code etc, though he know a C&F agent who can export the goods but since he's a textile exporter he's not aware about processed food

Now i want to ask,

1) what are the basic legal requirement to be fulfilled for approvals.. like export code regn, Excise regn, vat regn etc

2) What would be the procedure from Mfrer factory till the export..how we'll move forward

3) Most importantly..is there any special obligation for processed food article under excise or customs.. like ISI sort of or any other obligation or standard or marking

4) Also is it mandatory to register with ' Agricultural and Processed Food products Export Development Authority (APEDA)'

I understand it's a long query but request you all to reply it asap and help me..
