expnse reimbursement and Cenvat Credit

27 September 2008 Hi

I have incurred expense as follows;

Security Service charge Rs. 100
Service Tax on that Rs. 12.36
Total 112.36

I have also taken the input service tax credit for Rs. 12.36 and balance i.e. Rs. 100/- is reimbursed by the company on whose behalf i have incurred expenditure..

Please tell me that is there any non compliance of service tax cenvat rules...?

28 September 2008 Are you a security service provider to a company? Then the company on whom you raise the bill will pay you the entire amount. The company will take the input credt. I do not understand your query.

30 September 2008 If you are hiring service for your godown, the service provider will charge you Service tax, which you are entitled to take credit as input service tax credit.
