08 February 2010 Please help.My principal agreed to give me certain extra leave on the condition that he won't issue cheques for the period i am present.I assumed it depended on mutual consent.Also our office is small size so there's lot of free time doing nothing.Now the situation is that i've taken extra leave of 2-3 months from him and also worked overtime during some audit and income tax filing period.Of course he's not giving me any credit for the extra hours worked.On the contrary,as on paper it appears as if i have taken 10-12 months of extra leave, he's giving me an undue extension in the period of articles. Moreover,I don't have any proof against him. I know it is my mistake to some part in making such an arrangement with him in the first place, but i was uninformed then. I am not as sorry as to serve extra period,as i am to serve it under him as i don't trust him anymore. Ignoring that leave, I am left with approximately 8 months of articleship. Can i re-register with some other CA for my remaining period of articleship?
Please help.I can't continue working under him.If you don't provide me with any solution i will be left with only two options,first, leave CA .Second,and i am not exaggerating,Leave this world.Plz prevent me from doing any of the two.

I hope you have heard the old joke that against a doctor, engg, lawyer & politician,a CA gets concession from his punishment in hell because he had done his articleship too.
It's ok. Don't think of doing stupid things. Such incidents with your CA should motivate you more to finish your CA fast & make sure u become a better principal to your articles.
if you are too frustrated, try to go to another CA & remember don't bitch about your principal in front of your new CA, it will give a bad impression about you too. Better go to another CA with a patch up & good words from your present principal.
trust me! it might not seem a good option now, but it will prove good for you later
