Can the auditor directly take expert opinion on matters where he needs expert inputs, in connection with issuing a report or certificate? Or, is it compulsory to route it through the client always?

He is free to take opinion from experts but if he wants to bill to client dor expert bills ita advisable to consent with client only.

While doing so the identity of the client should not be disclosed to the expert with out the prior permission of the client.
