Exempted legal and consultacy services

23 August 2014 i have paid rs. 27500 as legal & consultancy service fee but as per cbec notice they are taking this transaction as a transaction of reverse charge and demanding for service tax and interest thereon.
is there any legal service which can be exempted under this situation.
assessee is small scale service provider.

Legal services obtained from individual advocate are fall under full reverse charge of service tax i.e service receiver has to clear the 100% service tax on invoice.

Please note that S.T liability under reverse charge attracts to service receiver even though Service Provider not charge service Tax on invoice and even he falls under Small Service Provider.

Logic given by department is Exemption given under SSP only to Service provider but not to service receiver.
