Can an executive director be appointed in two companies at the same time...Plz advice

Dear Sruti,
With reference to Subsection 3 of Section 203 of the Companies Act 2013, A whole-time key managerial personnel (Executive Director) shall not hold office in more than one company except in its subsidiary company at the same time.

Thanks for your reply Sir, but the proviso to the same sec provides that .........." being a director of any other other Company with the permission of the Board"
