Dear Sir/Madam,
Some party or dealer (Who has no Excise Registered) imported marble blocks through other's license & processed at a Manufacturer. My quest is Is the manufacturer is liable to pay the duty at the time of returned to party or not. If any exemption pl. notify

Under excise the manufacturer is liable not the raw material supplier except in case of garment.
