Excel spreasheet formula

if spread sheet is very large and in one column two figures (1. left aligned 2. right aligned) are mentioned (one number in one line but column is same) and sum is required separately for left aligned figures only, how to give formula.

If there is space between these two, you may use Text to column option under data tab by following step , go to data tab>select text to column option>select delimited>next>select comma>then finish...........
