how to use if function in excel for following
basic pay is rs1000
so
EA@10%of basic salary for officer drwaing a basic pay of rs 4500 ad abovee, subjected to maximum of rs 600pm.

let suppose
Cell A1 = basic pay
Cell A2 = if(a1>6000,600,a1*10%)
this is result 10% of basic pay but total amount will not exceed 600.
