if in a 10 marks problem on flowchart, if suppose there is a mistake in one of the step, & in real technical terms the solution arrived at is wrong. however, the flowchart is correct to the extent of 80-90% on the whole. in such a case,is student expected 2 get ne marks? if yes den how much?

It depends on the criticality of that step. If the mistake is due to lack of concept clarity, then definitely more marks will be deducted. What examiner checks is how much is concept clarity to the student on the given topic.
