How to show tentage material like Ceiling, Tent, Sofa, Table, Hanger Structure, Ceiling etc. for claiming Depreciation (revised Schedule VI) in case of event management company

21 September 2012 But sir, on plant & machinery depreciation is 15% but it includes furniture items also, like chair table sofa takhat in my case.

21 September 2012 The distinction between "furniture" and "plant & machinery" should be made in your case judiciously. Since you are using your furniture items as are normally called as plant & machinery, group it under same. Otherwise claiming a furniture under furniture is always possible.
