Epf above 15000/- salary

I think if EPF is applicable on a company , employee drawing monthly salary (basic + DA) much above 15000/- like 50000/- , EPF is deductible on atleast Rs. 15000/- .
please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes. where the salary exceeds Rs.15000, there is option to deduct atleast on Rs.15000

Whether it is optional to deduct epf of employee getting salary above 15000/-

it is compulsory to deduct on 15k atleast.
