Dear sir
suppose an EOU unit going to be a DTA unit after one year. can he import capital goods under epcg licence for DTA now.

YES HE CAN IMPORT AS PER HANDBOOK OF POLICY PROCEDURES 2010-2011, "PARA 5.4" ACCORDING THIS PARA AN EOU/ A RELOCATED SEZ UNIT, WHILE CONVERTING TO A DTA UNIT , MAY APPLY FOR AN EPCG AUTHORISATION IN PRESCRIBED FORMAT "NOC" SHOULD BE PRODUCED FROM CONCERNED DEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONER.
