Dear all, pl.calrify
1.Entry Tax - import of machinery for the purpose of work executs-digging work (work contract co.) in karnataka, this is a capital goods, entry tax is payable or not
2. if payable this amount can be adjusted in vat payable .

In Karnataka, Entry Tax has come for import the machinary for execution of Works Contract, contractor has to payable for 2% on entry value (Import Value + Duty + Frieght)
this is one time has to pay the contractor Entry Tax for execution of the work, further you have to not payable for shifting the machinary any whare the Karnantaka state
