Engineer , working +4 yrs, how to prepare for icwai exam

05 July 2013 Sir, iam an engineer and working for past 4 years.
i want to escalate my profile in commercial field by becoming an cost accountant( ICWA).

Please help me how to prepare for this exam as , iam totally a engineering stream guy.

Also the institute study material are self- sufficient for preparation of this exam or do i have to refer other materials also?

how much time do one has to devote for preparation( in my case , iam an married guy with two kids)?

please do reply sir, based on this i can step forward in this journey.........

07 July 2013 First all the best for your attempt to do the CWA at your position

since the engineering back ground, i suggest to have some coaching classes.

Study material is base only, need to refer the books which suggested by the institute

if you study with interest normal 3 to 5 hours a day enough to clear

there is one more point i would like to ask u, which is regarding Practical training.

am i entitled to claim exemption as per the current ruling( as mentioned in practical training information in students FAQ section of th website).

please throw some light on this...
