We have Form ST 1 & ST 2 issued by Service tax Dept and were filing returns (ST 3) manually. For efiling ST 3 we efiled ST 1 and uploaded xml filr of ST 3. However the Return is rejected and the error is " You cannot file returns since ST 2 is not issued"

It may be because ST-2 certificate may not be uploaded by the department online.....You may coordinate with your Service Tax range officer. He will guide you....
