16 July 2013 Dear All,
I am an salaried employee and don't have any other income. I had filed on line return for the FY.11-12.
My total income was below 5Lac for FY.11-12 as well as for FY.12-13.

1.Can I file return in paper mode instead of On line for FY.12-13?

2. Is it compulsory that If a person filed on LIne once he/she should file ON Line return for susquent years.

16 July 2013 If your gross income exceeds Rs.5 lacs then u need to file online return compulsory.

else u can file online or manually no restriction as such.

16 July 2013 Online filing is mandatory only if your total income is more than Rs.5 lakhs by vide

Notification No.34/2013 dated 01.05.2013

So

1)Yes, you can file return manually also as it is not mandatory

2)No there is no such rule that once filed online you have to do only online return..you can file manual return also
