Form DPT-3 needs to be filed if your company has any outstanding loans, customer advances, or deposits on 31st March of the financial year. This includes deposits received from directors or their relatives, which are considered exempted deposits. If there are no such outstanding balances or exempted deposits, filing Form DPT-3 is not mandatory.

√ Whether Company is having loan in Books as on 31st March √ Whether Company is having any advance from customer in books as on 31st March √ Whether Company is having any deposit in books as on 31st March If any of the above condition is fulfilled by the Company. Such Company is required to file e-form DPT-3 for that financial year.
In case the company have no outstanding balance of deposits or exempted deposits as at 31st March of every financial year, the requirement of filing Form DPT-3 is not mandatory
