I am sending material to kerala state. whether I have to pay entry tax in kerala checkpost. what are the documents to be prepared.

29 November 2011 Mr Panduranga,
As per the rules you need not pay any entry tax while snding some goods to Kearala. t entry point the goods will be checked and they should accompany an invoice,delivery note and a declaration in Form 8F. The invoice should contain all details such as consignee's RC no etc. If some particulars are wrong or not available, they would charge full tax. Of course regular trasporters know well all the problems that arise before a Kerala check post. better you talk to them before you despatch your goods.
