Is Tax on dividend applicable on what basis? & can you give me details information on tax on dividend?

Dividend is TOTALY EXEMPTED in the hands of Individual, HUF, AOP, even company. As dividend distribution tax is to be paid by Company.

A company paying/distributing dividend has to pay tax on dividend viz., dividend distribution tax. For details refer section 115 O of the Income tax act,1961.
