I am M.Com, LL.B. Now in Govt. service. Interested to pursue a recognised course in Corporate Law - six months/ one year duration through distance learning. Pl. suggest important recognised institutes/universities. Thanks & regards.

I will suggest you to do CS. It is in correspondence mode but duration is minimum 2 years. It is the most valuable course in Company Law and Secretarial Compliance.

No idea regarding this. But i am sure CS is always better than the course mentioned by you as it is more recognised.

Thanks Sir, it is correct but I am now 52 and due to retire in 5/6 years from Govt. job. I have about 30 years of experience in indirect tax laws (Sales Tax / VAT. I wish to join any law firm / consultancy after retirement just to effectively make use of my academic knowledge and experience.

U can pursue Diploma in Corporate Law or Industrial Law from Indian Institute of law, new Delhi. Its tenure is around 6 months to one year and it is a distance learning course.
