There is no restriction in Companies Act, 1956 to appoint CEO as Director.

But what about Director as CEO. Is Section 314 applicable to it?
Yes a Director act as CEO. If he draw remuneration as director and company intended to pay remuneration other than remuneration already take as director, in that case he/she will cover under section 314 of CA, 1956.
