Yes NRI can be a director of an Indian Company.

In that case also first you have to collect DIN number of the director.
For a foreign national director the provision for attestation presribe that it must be done by Notray of Home country or by MD or CS in full time employment
That means any CS in whole time employment can attest that Form. He need not be the CS in the same Comapany in which the foreign national is appointed as the Director. Any CS in whole time employment can attest his form and ID and residence proof.
