Digital signature of xml file of itr4

I have got the digital signature registered with the I Tax Deptt. When I proceed to sign the return in the I.T. Portal with .pfx file it gives a message-
" Can not reed the file for signing C:\Fake path\ITR4_ABVPL8198C.XML" I NEED TO BE GUIDED as to the mistake I may be committing.It is urgent

19 March 2012 Please change the security settings of your PC as given below, then affix DSC and upload the file.

Go to Internet Options –> Security –> Internet –> click on Custom level –> in security settings –> miscellaneous –> select disable option for “Include local directory path when uploading files to a server”.

21 March 2012 Yes this type of mistakes do appear many times due to the faulty setting of your own PC. Mr. Warrier has given you the solution try it and if not getting then re-send your question

08 May 2014 Another method is to save your xml file in folder named " fakepath" in the C drive of the computer which will be already existed. and then try to upload the file.
