19 December 2013 Can anyone explain me what is the difference between act, rules and regulations?

20 December 2013 Act is the parent law. Rule and regulations are framed to cover mostly the operational structure of the act. both can not go beyond the scope of the parent act..

Amendment to Act required the consent of legislative body but it is not the case with rules and regulations.
