16 August 2011 Pls. let me know the basic difference between a sale invoice & vat invoice.

16 August 2011 Sales invoice can be any simple invoice and may and may not charge the tax on sales, but a VAT invoice is one where charges only VAT has been charged on sales.

16 August 2011 But when vat charged is seperately shown in the sale invoice,in that case whether it is mandatory to issue vat invoice also.What is the need of issuing sale invoice and vat invoice both?
