Depreciation for assets less than rs.5000

For assets less than Rs.5000, 100% depreciation can be charged as per companies act. should we consider no of days put into use?
For eg. asset costing Rs.2500 put to use on 30.6.2012. depreciation should be Rs.2500 or Rs.1875?
Kindly clarify
