IS CHARGING DEPRECIATION MANDATORY FOR ALL THE BUSINESS UNIT (ESPECIALLY FOR FIRM)?

Yes if the Assets is not written off then it is mandatory.

Depreciation is amandatory. We dont have right or a option to claim it or not.

This is being provided in AS-6

as per income tax act and under company it is compulsory on used and eligible assets for charging the depreciation.
