05 January 2011 I had purchased DEPB in April 2009.

DEPB Date is: 11.12.2008
Partly utilized to the tune of Rs. 60,000/-

Q1) Has the DEPB expired
Q2) If expired, can the same be extended / revalidated
Q3) Is there a website where i can check the DEPB balance and the expiry.

Plz help

05 January 2011 Dear Anonymous,

as per foreign trade policy 2010-2011, para no. 4.3.3 validity period of DEPB for import shall be 24 months.

as per para 3.11.7 duty credit scrip shall be valid for 24 months. revalidation of duty credit scrip shall not be permitted unless covered under para 2.13.1 or para 2.13.2 of handbook of procedures vol-1.
