Dear Experts,
Plz clarify weather dep. Is to be
Calculated on block of assets or on
Perticular assets if on block of assets
then practically why do we calculate
the dep. On perticular assets..
Assume in the block two assets is consist
One is eligible for 10% and another is
Eligible for 15%:

Assets eligible for 10% will considered in one block and assets eligible for 15% will be considered in other block. Block will not consist assets with different rates of depreciation.

Disclosure is the key why we compute depreciation assetwise, although within same block of asset.

you have to keep the same rate dep. assets under the same block. then you take deprecation on the block.
