Delay in receiving c form

04 July 2014 Dear Sir,

I am working in Godrej. We regularly supply furniture to L&T at Hazira (Gujarat) at concessional rate of 2% for which they are eligible to give C form.

Whenever we ask for the C form, the accounts person says that as the receipt of the material is taken in the next month in which the invoicing is done, according to Gujarat Govt rules, the C form will be given after 1 year.

Kindly clarify with regards ti this rule. Are there any exceptions?

04 July 2014 c form is issued according to the date of bill....

so if u had the the bil in first quarter you wil receive that after the end of first quarter near about in july month

and in my view c form are issued online these days so why there is a problem and why there is one year delay...

better youu talk to concerned person of that particular company clearly

04 July 2014 They are saying there is a rule in Gujarat where if the invoice for that particular month is not puched in the purchase register for that month & then punched in the next month, they cannot issue the C form in the next quarter but only after 1 year as they are not authorized to claim C form for the bills which are not punched in the same month as the invoice month.
