Defective return u/s 139

I filed one of my clients Tax audit report (Form 3 CB - 3 CD) along with the Income Tax Return for the A.Y 2017-2018,with the confirmation of mail after the successful filing . still my client gotted a notice regarding your ITR becomes defective with the reason of "Non filing of Tax Audit report Electronically",can you please help me in this regard .

Tax Audit Report in Form 3CB-3CD needs to be approved by assessee after it is uploaded by CA to be considered as successfully filed. Also date of furnishing audit report needs to be mentioned in Return. Make sure you have done both correctly.
Also you can check the status of Form 3CB-3CD by logging into assessee's efiling id.

thats the problem. It is a stupid error that the department has raised in many cases. as long as you have done what Sumeet has suggested, do reject the defect pointed out and file your response.
