16 May 2009 139(9)lists out the documents to be attached to the return of income like computation of income, tax audit report, copy of accounts,etc.
But in new forms ITR 1 to 8 there is no provision for attachments.........further more the income tax department does not accept any attachment.

Further Dr.V. K. Singhania in his book have made changes 1n 139(9) keeping in view the new forms where he has emphasised more on filing the schedules properly and writing NA in the schedules which is not relevant for the assessee.

Please guide whether we are expected to right the same provisions in the examination, of attaching various documents which seem inoperative in todays context.
