21 December 2011 Mr X has paid Rs 100000 for Life insurance premium for himself & also paid Rs 50000 for his spouse Life premium policy.
Mr X has claim full Rs 100000 in section 80.
so spouse of MR X can claim deduction of Rs 50000 in Section 80 C with out paying

please reply urgently

21 December 2011 you can do one thing just transfer the same amount from wife's bank account to husband' bank account than wife can claim it.
