Deduction u/s 80DD

13 December 2008 For claiming deducton u/s 80 DD, is it necessary to produce any supporting document as a proof of expendeture incurred? or Is doctors certificate for disability alone can be enough for claiming deduction u/s 80DD irrespective of expenditure receipt.


13 December 2008 For claiming the deduction the assessee shall have to furnish a copy of the certificate (in form-10IA)issued by the medical authority

13 December 2008 No supporting documents for expenditure need to be produced by virtue of circular no 702 dt.3/4/1995 since the deduction is statutory in nature.

13 December 2008 If on the Assessee the dependent physically handicaped persons are two,then how much will be the deduction u/s 80DD[i.e 50,0000(for one person) or 1,00,000( two persons)]
