19 March 2015 Whether Deduction is allowable u/s 80C if assessee has purchase NSC of Rs.100000/- in the name of Minor Child?

19 March 2015 Yes, the deduction is available for such a situation.

19 March 2015 In the same case if child is major and or the NSC purchased in the name of Spouse then the same should be allowed ?

20 March 2015 NSC purchased in the name of MAJOR child or SPOUSE will NOT qualify for deduction.
