A KARTA OF HUF DIED LEAVING BEHIND HIS WIFE AND A MAJOR DAUGHTER. WILL THE HUF DISSOLVE AND HOW THE PROPERTY ON HUF WILL BE TREATED IN FUTURE? IF CONTINUED WHO WILL BE THE NEXT KARTA? AND WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO SIGN THE RETURN OF HUF? DOES THE PAN NUMBER NEEDS ANY CHANGE TO BE NOTED?

wife would be karta on death of her husband, she needs to get pan data amended (on same pan number) through filing form 49A
she is eligible to file incometax return and discharge all duties of HUF.
