Dear Experts,
is it mandatory to open a current account with the bank in case of own business or in case one is engaged in professional practice?

It is not mandatory to open a current account if business in run in his own name and transactions are very few so that no objection is raised by the bank with whom you have your account.
But; in most of the cases; current account is preferred. If you have a firm name; then you have to open a current account.
