08 December 2013 When a sale takes place within a state i.e.both buyer and seller are within the same state,without any intermediaries,then it becomes a intra-state sale.When due to sale the goods move out of the borders of a state,other than export,-even when sale is done through transfer of documents-it is called as an Interstate sale.....mjk
