Applicability of New Companies Act for June 2014 Examination
The decision taken at ICSI-HO on the above subject is reproduced below for information of all

concerned

" The Board of Studies in its 6th meeting held on September 20, 2013 noted that the President of India has given his assent to the Companies Act, 2013 and that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has notified certain provisions of the new Companies Act.



The Board of Studies further noted that in terms of Schedule C, Part II [Regulation 41(2)] of the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982 as amended, the candidates are expected to be conversant with the amendments to the laws made upto six months preceding the date of examination and decided that the Companies Act, 2013 will be applicable from June, 2014 examination. "
