Cpc income tax refund

10 April 2019 What is the normal timeline which CPC takes to process the refund of around 2.5 lakhs after sending the intimation u/s 143(1)? It has been 2.5 months but clients are not getting the refunds.

10 April 2019 after intimation, it doesn't take more than a month but actually you would be receiving a cheque for this amount. So please check whether the address on record for income-tax. Possible that they issued a cheque but you didnt receive it or it was sent to a diffferent address (often the address is not updated in the system)

11 April 2019 checked with CPC and they are still telling to wait....but my query was is there any circular/ notification about the maximum timelines for refund.
Also there will be a loss to the assessee for the period of delay as the interest u/s 244a is calculated till intimation of notice date.
