I am confuse about tds deducetd on the service tax or not..pls advice and any notification for the same..i am from gandhidham-kutch..here many company deducted tds only basis amt
pls clarify as early as possible...

Hi
As per Taxation laws TDS should not be deducted on service tax, but practically all assessee deduct tds on service tax, because not yet any notification issued, and to avoid penalties if any notification issued retrospectively.
